lextorite
I am planning to store all my cassette software onto CD's and was wondering if it is possible to use these CD's via a CD Player -> CD Cassette Adapter -> Datacorder on a Atari 400 or a Atari 800XL? I built a CD library already for a few of my other vintage computers. Edited March 11, 2008 by lextorite
Rybags
Yes. I believe the most efficient way would be to just create .WAVs from CAS images using CAS2WAV. Better still, rip them to mono MP3 files. Or better again, just use APE or get something like SIO2SD.

Hornpipe2
Better still, rip them to mono MP3 files. MP3 file compression generally destroys the data because it's a lossy codec. If you really need the audio around, you can use a lossless compression format like FLAC, WavPack, etc. However, using CAS files with CAS2WAV would be a better (smaller, more reliable) solution.
