I'm making a site of local videos. Four of them are links to YouTube videos I posted, and the fifth is the one featured on the "Does this work" topic. I originally was going to ask the companies who made the videos permission, but after not hearing back from the guy who runs the Willamette Queen sternwheeler, I said "to heck with it" and just posted it on today, along with a very unintentionally funny ad for the Salem-Keizer Transfer Station. So that's my Easter present for all of you. See, there's a big problem with running your own TV station: you don't get much viewers if you're not on Comcast. That's the trouble with KWVT. Comcast is the only cable company in Salem, and doesn't carry it. A couple other smaller cable services around do, but not Comcast. Another reason why I think they're evil. Comcast ads talk about helping the community. Phht. You want to help Salem? Carry KWVT. Well, anyway, I will ask permission for KWVT identification pieces, though, as the guy who replied back to me regarding those is nice. So if you're in the Salem area, have Comcast, have no outside antenna, and want to view this station, what I did was bought an indoor antenna. It works great. At first, the reception was iffy, but since they moved their broadcast tower, the reception has improved. Well, anyway, check out my site, and happy watching.
