thegamezmaster
Hello, does anyone know if any other audio/composite video cable works with an Atari 800XL? I mean like a C64 cable or original Sega cable. Thanks.
MEtalGuy66
Hello, does anyone know if any other audio/composite video cable works with an Atari 800XL? I mean like a C64 cable or original Sega cable. Thanks. For audio and composite video, the C=64 cable will work. If you are using chroma/luma, it wont. The commodore has "audio in" where atari has "chroma".. This wont hurt anything.. It just wont work.. The seag master system cable is 8 pins instead of 5, so it shouldnt even plug in... but on top of that, composite video is on pin 1 (instead of pin 4 on the atari).. so if you break off pins 6-8 and somehow rewire the video to pin 4, it would work.. but unless youve got an RGB master system cable (pin 4 is GREEN), youd have to cut the connector apart to do it.. So thats a "YES" on the C=64 cable, and a "NO" on the sega master system cable..
