ballyalley
I have a few questions about Activision titles for the Atari 8-Bit computers: 1) Is there a list of all the Activision titles released for the Atari 8-bit computers? 2) Are there any unreleased titles or prototypes that have popped up over the years? 3) Are there any Atari 5200 versions that might have been converted to the Atari 8-bit? 4) Are any Activision titles for the 400/800 only (i.e. they don't work on XL/XE computers)? mos6507
I think this is it. (I really do wish AA would finish and then publically expose its atari 8-bit game database.) http://www.atariage.com/company_page.html?...temFilterID=
+Psionic
I think this is it. (I really do wish AA would finish and then publically expose its atari 8-bit game database.) http://www.atariage.com/company_page.html?...temFilterID=800 Looks like that list is only the cartridge releases. Here's the full list (including disk releases)... http://www.atarimania.com/lst_soft.php?MEN...&VISU=TABLE Regarding prototypes, nothing of real interest has popped up. Only thing I know of is Explorer (early version of Pastfinder). http://www.atarimania.com/detail_soft.php?...ERSION_ID=20449
+CharlieChaplin
Err well, some Activision titles are not on that list, e.g.: - Shanghai - Rampage to name a few... -Andreas Koch.
Heaven/TQA
Oh? Peter Sabath wrote the Atari version of Shanghei? Cool...
www.atarimania.com
What's this then? You can also add any title on the Electric Dreams label to the list. -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com
ballyalley
After looking at all of the lists mentioned I see there are 29 releases. Why is Demon Attack on this list? Isn't that an Imagic Title? Also, I have included three Electronic Dreams titles, but what is the deal with THAT? Here's the list: Activision Atari 8-Bit Games List Compiled June 22, 2008 1) Ballblazer 1985 2) Beamrider 1984 3) Decathlon 1984 4) Designer's Pencil, The 1984 5) Dreadnaught Factor, The 1984 6) Eidolon, The 1986 7) Explorer [Prototype] 1984 8 ) Ghostbusters 1984 9) Great American Cross-Country Road Race, The 1985 10) Hacker 1985 11) HERO 1984 12) Kaboom! 1983 13) Keystone Kapers 1983 14) Koronis Rift 1985 15) Master of the Lamps 1985 16) MegaMania 1983 17) Mindshadow 1985 18) Pastfinder 1984 19) Pitfall! / Demon Attack [COMP] 1987 20) Pitfall! 1984 21) Pitfall! www.atarimania.com
Why is Demon Attack on this list? Because Activision re-released the game in a combo pack (with Pitfall!). Also, I have included three Electronic Dreams titles, but what is the deal with THAT? Electric Dreams. As I wrote above, it's a label (from the company's UK branch). -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.com
+CharlieChaplin
Oh? Peter Sabath wrote the Atari version of Shanghei? Cool... Well, being an Abbuc member at that time, P. Sabath ported Shanghai over from the C64... (so it was a pirate version at first). But then Abbuc asked Activision if they would release it officially for the Atari and Activision did... Thats what Wolfgang Burger told me... -Andreas Koch.
ballyalley
Why is Demon Attack on this list? Because Activision re-released the game in a combo pack (with Pitfall!). I used to own the Imagic cartridge. It only worked on the Atari 800. Is the re-release Atari XL/XE compatible? Adam

games-video
shouldn't the Lucafilm titles under Lucasfilm? After all, they were distributed by Epyx first.
carmel_andrews
According to what i've seen, Spy's demise/spy strikes Back was probably re-releases off old Penguin Software (US) games of the same names
games-video
And Activision also distributed Infocom software, after they purchased them up.
carmel_andrews
Actually it's now either Activision Blizzard or Activision Vivendi (as Vivendi Universal and Activision recently merged)
