I was playing around with Chaos Music Composer and have figured out (I think) most of the key commands. It's significantly different that the other trackers I have used (Theta, etc) - can some kind soul point me to a manual that has key commands and a description of instrument configuration/editing? I've searched high and low to no avail...

Try searching on the disk of version 2...

sorry for the thread resurrection but i was looking for a tutorial or a manual for CMC. i don't have a disk as i am using APE and a disk image. i'm using CMC v3.0 as well. thanks for any help! also, does anyone know which version of CMC supports dual POKEYs? the version i'm using may support them but i just started using it and have no idea how to tell. thanks again!

[edit] found a .txt manual on v2.0 of CMC which gave me the key commands. now to figure out stereo! any help is much appreciated! :D

Totally not what you were asking (I'm going to have to check on the CMC version)...but have you tried Theta Music Composer? Version 2.0 supports up to 4 pokeys, and it is, IMHO, a more user-friendly interface than CMC.

I'm currently working on an enhanced manual/tutorial for it in English, I'll be happy to post it when I'm done.

i have actually been using TMC2 for a while but i didn't find it as friendly as you seem to have found it! :P i'd definitely love an english enhanced manual/tutorial! part of my problem with TMC2 was not understanding the translation of the current manual! the only reason i wanted a stereo CMC is because i loved the preset instruments in it. if i could figure out how to be more proficient with TMC2 then i would be much happier to use it! thanks for the offer! let me know when you got it ready.
