SpendTooMuchOnAtari
Yeah, F the DSR bullshit and the "Best Match" garbage, I am a firm believer in a search coming up "ending soonest"....it makes sense! "Best Match"? WTF? I'm sure there are those that disagree and feel free to air your grievances as well, maybe you like this new system...tell us! I am showing a one-sided, F-U stance here but feel free to show support for this new system, I welcome all opinions! - really, I'm not sarcastic! Anyway, I get this email from ebay and the following is included: 10 secrets of great shipping DSRsAt eBay Live! last month we talked to hundreds of successful sellers who've learned the tricks of making a great impression with their buyers and who enjoy the benefits of great DSRs. Here are some of the "secrets" they shared: 1. Charge no handling costs or keep them as low as possible. Tell your buyers exactly what they're for. 2. Tell buyers upfront how you pack and how frequently you ship (within 24 hours if you can). 3. Print labels on eBay--there's no charge--and you and your buyer get an automatic confirmation with tracking information. 4. Send a follow-up email the day after the package should have arrived. Tell buyers you care! 5. Pay attention to your packaging. Opening your package is the "peak" moment for your buyer--make the most of it! (Note, be mindful of box size BEFORE you list--some carriers use dimensional fees that could bump up your shipping cost). 6. Include a packing slip in a bright, stand-out color. Say thank you! 7. Don't be shy--ask for good ratings. "Please get in touch right away if there is anything that would keep you from giving us 5 stars on all ratings. We'll do what it takes to make it right." 8. If there is a problem you can't solve, spring for return shipping. 9. Keep in mind, a buyer unhappy with just one area of your transaction tends to mark down all ratings. So aim for all around good service--and tell buyers what you're doing all along the way! 10. If possible, offer free shipping. Sellers who do average 4.8 DSRs and many get a boost in search results. See more tips for getting great DSRs. Yeah, that "more tips" right up top is clickable if you wish. DreamTR
I love that meeting when Channel Advisor had this meeting with us about Shipping and Handling COSTS DSR, FREE Shipping averages a 4.8? LOL. How the heck do you get a 5.0? FREE SHIPPING and it's less than 5.0?
