Kaz atarionline.pl
Could you remind me some titles of Barbarian-like games (you know: big guy fighting with evil creatures, sword, blood, etc) for Atari? I remember only "Barbarian" by Mirage and "Droga Wojownika"* by ASF (movie here). * = "Warrior's Way" in English Edited August 1, 2008 by Kaz atarionline.pl
carmel_andrews
When you say 'barbarian' are you talking about the earlier game from Palace software (i think their was a knock off version done on the A8)...Or the later game by Liverpool games co Psygnosis

Kaz atarionline.pl
@carmel_andrews: Both. I'm wonder if we have games based on idea: fight using sword, with muscle guy in main role. @Miker: I saw this video before and I'm curious what technique was used to create warriors - software or hardware sprites? It is important for person who would prepare backgrounds. BTW: can Billy Yesterday publish assembler source as well?
carmel_andrews
Slight diff. between the two Mr Kaz....One is single screen (palace's one) the other is multi screen (psygnosis one)

However try to keep focus on similarities, not differences . I'm afraid we don't have hundreds, even few, similar games... .

Gunstar
I'm still really confused about what "barbarian" game you guys are talking about, especially with the link to the "unfinished" one. The only one I knew of was this one: http://atari.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=3876

The only one I knew of was this one: http://atari.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=3876 Barbarian-like game, not Barbarian game. I understand, but I wanted to establish what Barbarian game was the basis first. There were links posted, like that "unfinished" game that was linked too, so I was confused, it seems there's more than one game called Barbarian.
