Lord-Chaos
Hi, I have many useless ATARI cartridges (most of them Crossbow carts , a 128K game) , the original boxes have been damaged/destroyed and I cannot sell these carts. So the idea is : Use these carts for NEW ATARI XE projects just as it was done with NEW ATARI 2600/5200 games. Release games on ATARI XE carts , produce good-looking ATARI XE boxes and manuals and sell them. At first,we could use my Crossbow/Thunderfox/One one One/Pole Position carts. If it´s successful , we could create new carts. This was very successful on the ATARI 2600.Most of the carts were sold out really fast. They pay a lot of money for the games on ebay. Nobody pays much for a "Crossbow XE" cart, but you could earn money with NEW XE games and this may encourage programmers to create NEW games or to release games which they cancelled before (because they didn´t have money etc.). I´ve already discussed this in the German ABBUC Forum , everone thinks this is a good idea. In 2 months, there´s the ABBUC JHV in Herten/Germany , maybe we could show something there. I have the cartridges , an EPROM Burner , I´m a trader and can sell stuff legally and I´m a well-known ebay-seller with 12000+ positives. This means,I have the possibility to try this and I think it´ll be successful because ATARI XE games are still wanted if they´re good. What I need are programmers , who offer their programs for this project and change them,so that they work from cart. I also need someone, who can create XE boxes/labels/manuals. Interesting games may be IK+ or Space Harrier (although there may be copyright problems) or this Doom-Clone or other games. But not only games - also "serious" programs are interesting.
