ninermaniac
Just got finished with my paddle controllers. It works awesome for those games that work better with it like Pole Position, Space invaders, Super Breakout, etc. Based on the same concept of my other controller modified with a 2600 paddle. Play with this is awesome. I'm gonna try Kaboom next. Check it out.
NixonTech2071
Pretty cool, but how about incidental button pressing?
ninermaniac
Doesn't have that problem. The way it is designed is by holding from the button case but the buttons require a little more of a "PUSH" than a normal button. They are not sensitive enough to actually press the button to easy. I guess you would have to feel the controller to understand. It fits good. Edited August 12, 2008 by ninermaniac
CV Gus
Impressive, and uniquely designed. I notice you used velcro on it- just like my digital controller! It's pretty nifty, the way you combined the two parts- but why are there so many buttons on the back, is it to make it easy fire? And are there two kinds, for games like Pole Position? I used a rocker switch for the gear shift; it operates the up and down joystick position. 2600 paddle controllers were well-designed, so any paddle game you play with that probably has a better feel than my own controller. Thanks. Velcro works wonders. All the buttons are the entire keypad. I just decided to incorporate the whole keypad with the controller. As for Pole position it doesn't need a toggle. It starts in high and stays there. Starts a little slow but it doesn't take long to get to 190 mph. LOL I didn't want to put too much into the inside of the controller. But that's an idea though. I think I might incoporate it with the next set I plan to create.
