djpubba
www.steelesettlement.com Hopefully it's not a giant phishing scam. I'm going to check into it before I file a claim.
+poobah
Grrrrr. I like the concept of class action suits... I HATE our implementation of them. The lawyers get several million dollars, the class members get a buy 1 get 1 free big mac coupon. I get class notices a couple time a year... Lessee, most recent was Microsoft (who wants proof of purchase for things I no longer have), and a DRAM settlement. Maybe I'll get a free MS Travel Mouse and a 256 meg memory stick Edited August 30, 2008 by poobah
djpubba
Is that what'll happen here? I assumed I'd get my money back from Paypal on the claim I filed and they denied.
Elw00d
djpubba, I didn't look at the website but you have to remember that the lawyers that are filing this case will get the lions share of the settlement (if the case is successful). So you may get some back but not your full claim. That is also assuming this is a legit class action suit and not a scam. Artlover
Is that what'll happen here? I assumed I'd get my money back from Paypal on the claim I filed and they denied. From the faq on that website.... each Class Member will receive a percentage of his or her validated claim(s) equal to the total amount of the Net Settlement Fund divided by the total monetary value of all validated claims. This is how all class action lawsuits work.
djpubba
That sucks. I saw something about it being 3.5 million. I wonder if Paypal has ripped off more than 3.5M from people by denying their claims.
