evilmoo
After a few posts regarding my Atari 8-bit disassembly project ( ), I received a request to disassemble a couple of 5200 prototypes. The first one is "Black Belt" ( http://www.atariage.com/software_page.html...wareLabelID=794 ). To rebuild it from the source, you will need cc65 ( www.cc65.org ) and GNU Make. You can retrieve the source via the "git" tool by using the command: git clone git://git.cluephone.com/atari5200/blackbelt or via the gitweb interface: http://git.cluephone.com/git/gitweb.cgi?p=...kbelt;a=summary Any comments or contributions are welcome via e-mail to atari8@cluephone.com. Thanks!
Tempest
I've always wondered if there was more functionality in the prototype than what we can see. There are two different prototypes, but the one that has been publically released is the newer one: http://www.atariprotos.com/5200/software/b...t/blackbelt.htm Maybe someone can add collision detection to the game? evilmoo
I can do a comparison between files if I have the other revision to work with. I will say up front that I have plenty of other nutty things to work on, so I won't be the one adding any additional features to this. Tempest
I'll post the other file tonight. As far as I can tell, it's just a slightly earlier version. There are no major differences other than the missing enemy AI. So these are just the raw disassembly files? No comments or anything? I don't plan on delving much deeper into them, but I wanted to give others a starting point if they want to contribute and share. I will take a look at specific sections of code if asked.
