Collector#007
Alright I searched the topics to make sure i'm in the right board. I have an atari collection. Its taken me about 3 years to come up with what I have. But now i've decided to make room and get rid of my gaming systems that I dont ever play. So I've started with my 2600. I have here a list of what i have (pics included) and want to know from you guys what its worth. After that i'd like to sell em on ebay. I know i got at least a 1,000 worth. To make it easy I bolded the rare games. ---row 1--- skiing human cannonball freeway sword quest: earthworld realsports baseball phoenix gorf ---row 2--- night driver warlords 6 copies ---row 3--- asteroids 4 copies and one looks like crap berzerk 3 copies ---row 4--- star raiders 7 copies ---row 5--- star raiders pac man pole position II 3 copies fishing derby midnight magic ---row 6--- M.A.S.H. football defender 3 copies combat 2 copies ---row 7--- combat one on one (took it out of picture cause its a 7800 game). They wont be pictured tho. They are: football, yars revenge, checkers, football, adventure, andddd star raiders. and the last game i have pictured is called GAUNTLET. I dont know its rarity tho. I have checked atariage and have found two different scans. One of which is a rarity of 4 and the other a 10 (the highest). However neither of them look like my copy. It could be that this is a homebrew game but i'm not sure. Also included are two 2600 systems, 4 controllers, and a bunch of instruction books. Mirage
why didnt it bold the rare games??? because you don't have any. sorry i could not resist! Rick LOL! Okay, that was a better response! And, BTW, the ones called "## Telegames", etc... that's not the name. That's the number of games. Apparently, he didn't believe you. I sincerely wish you luck, #007 -- but I wonder why you would ask for advice and then completely disregard it? I sincerely wish you luck, #007 -- but I wonder why you would ask for advice and then completely disregard it? Well, he does have the super-duper rare E.T. and Earthworld, so... And it's hilarious that he mentions that there is a Star Raiders included but not pictured, and yet there are already EIGHT of them pictured! He also still has the "## Telegames" listed as game titles though I tried to help him out there too. Whatever. And, he listed the Gauntlet separate: http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-Gauntlet-Game-Ata...1QQcmdZViewItem But can't seem to take a good picture of it at all. Geez, for the $1000 auction I'd at least expect that the mystery cart would be included. Even more absurd now that we realize he meant $1000 for everything _except_ the Gauntlet mystery blurry pic cart! He adds up the games to 139, but then the auction title is "over 200". Shows which floor the elevator isn't going to right there. Edited December 1, 2008 by Mirage1972
Jakenut86
Wow, Just took a look at this auction. $1000? E.T. Rare? Buddy they made so many E.T.'s that they ended up dumping them in landfills! I think you should have listened to these guys. I don't think anyones gonna pay that much.

If this was the real version I would of been all over the $100 buy it now. Edited December 1, 2008 by homerwannabee
HFK
At first I thought someone started a new account as a joke but then after the auction listing, what the hell? I think $100 for this lot would be a good day. If he seriously thinks it is worth over $1000 I wonder what he paid for it all, either he got taken really good or he is clueless and thinks he took other people really good (well I guess that would be clueless either way). Just think, if he actually got what he is asking me and many of you would be able to take quite a nice vacation just on our extra commons. He was the one who sold the Gauntlet prom chips. My experience with him were ok but several people had bad experiences with him. Here is one thread on James. http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...449&hl=Redd I don't know if this is the same person or not but it is interesting that he too is from Middletown Ohio and is selling Gauntlet. Mirage
Funny, I thought about making a "best offer", but decided it wasn't worth it. He didn't seem like the type who was/is going to learn or listen.
lemoncurry
I really am curious to know how much the "best offer" that he declined was for and who did it. Weird: "How about this much?" "No." "How about this much?" "No." "This much?" "No." "Okay, I'll pay full price." ?!?!?!?!?!?
Rom Hunter
"I don't know its rarity, I don't know if it's a repro, I don't have good sharp pictures of it and to be honest: I don't know if it's really a VCS game at all, but hey, let's ask $100 for it" Simply amazing. +save2600
What's up with the dupes of common games? It took you 3 years to amass those? lol Your collecting abilities took a serious wrong turn somewhere. Basic idea of collecting is to collect games that are *different* from each other. Goofy concept, I know :-) Unless you're into label variants. To that end, I'd say there is no affordable help for you. Here's a lolly to tide you over. lol BTW: nice pics! LOL! Did you learn how to take pictures like that on ePay? lol But to answer your question of how much the collection is "worth": To those on a fanboy/fangirl website - not worth the hassle to ship, especially after the ScamPal fees. To someone with more dollars than sense on ePay - about $100, maybe more. To someone that enjoys playing those classic games - priceless.
