Nice! But you forgot the Trak-Ball support. Nice to see but this will not be the artwork we use for the Tempest box and label once the game is finished.....

Why not? It's the 'official' artwork after all. Personally I like to keep things as authentic as possible.

Nope, it's not official. We already got artwork from Curt that's going to be on the box, label and manual.

 

Just because it's in an unreleased catalog doesn't mean that is the art that was going to be used. This artwork in the catalog might just be a placeholder.

 

Even the demo boxes for the 2600 version don't have this artwork on them. Trust me the boxes we make will look great.

 

If you look at many of the manuals, there are different pieces of artwork throughout them. Maybe this was intended to be used in that way.

You could be right. It could have been intended as the inside picture on the first page or something like that. Still, it would be neat to incorporate it into the manual somehow.

That we can do, I'm not sure how this artwork is supposed to be Tempest anyway but if I can get a high-res image I'll pass it to George Reese for inclusion in the manual.

If you look you can see the 'tubes' in the picture. I think those robots are supposed to be Flippers or something coming out of the center of the tubes.
