Got it up to the point I was originally shooting for. Turns out I have a couple of hundred bytes of ROM left, so I'll need to think about that for a bit and decide how I'm going to utilize it. I'm thinking along the lines of what SpiceWare was suggesting. Possibly slower moving Frost Giants to start the game off so it's not as hard at the outset. Anyway, I need to play it on real hardware for a bit as well. See if it is harder with a joystick. I wasn't sure where it would fall on the hard/easy scale for everybody else (my avg. score is in the 30's).

 

Anyway, what's new:

High score - score will alternate between your current score (blue) and the high score (white) during Game Over situations.

Ending - score 100 points and win the game (score will turn to !! in an homage to Activision).

Asgard gets destroyed when you lose.
