Ebay account blocked just after bidding with eSnipe

Hi guys

 

I've been using eBay for several years, without a problem. Yesterday I had the chance to use eSnipe for the first time on a bid while I was away from my computer. I won the auction, but today when I was going to pay for my item, I couldn't log on to my eBay page. I keep getting the "Your user ID or password is incorrect" error. I knew I was typing my password OK.

Finally after a lot of hassle, I was able to reset my password. The mails from eBay say that my account was blocked because "it appears that a third party was able to gain access to your eBay account."

 

Have you guys ever been through this because of bidding using eSnipe?

Do you guys have to reset your eBay password everytime you use eSnipe?

I've been using eSnipe for many years and I've never had a problem with it. Even used it recently, although not in the past two weeks.

Twice I've had esnipe cause eBay to freeze my accounts due to "unauthorized activity", once per account, the first time I used esnipe on each.

 

No big whoop, I just changed the password on eBay and told esnipe the new pw, and no more problems. It only happens the first time esnipe uses your pw (if at all) for some reason.
