Multi conductor cables?

I need to replace the cables for my SNES controllers. Im trying to find a replacement 5 conductor cable but so far I haven't found anything. I've tried most of the online component stores but can't find anything suitable. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement?

Im in the US. I've tried to find sites that specialize in OE video game parts but haven't found much. Would the cables be a custom part or off the shelf?

If you can solder, most 5 core cables will do. If you can't, you are probably better looking on eBay or CTCW or placing a wanted add on here.

Hmm. could I make them myself? I can get the connector components with no problem and I can get the wires but I would need to know what the material the cable sheath is. Im not sure if its rubber or some kind of PVC or if I can even get it but if I can gather the material then I could make my own replacements.

 

I actually found suitable 5 conductor cables with black rubber sheath but I can't remember what site it was. I only know of Jameco, mouser, digikey and a few others.

Have you looked on EBay? You can get some imports from Hong Kong very, very cheap. It might work out cheaper than fixing it at home.
