mimo
I know it is the same name as an early 8bit Atari game, but Apple Panic springs to mind or how about Rox, or Rockz

espire8
I like title puns that read like a quote. How about-- "Miner Bit of Trouble" Miner, Drill Bit, Trouble to deal with; ..get it?

GroovyBee
Having thought about it, I think short and snappy names are better. The title page is in 12 colour mode so that will limit it to 160 pixels across. Thats not much horizontal space for a long game name. HammR25
Is this bin suppose to have sound? I get it to run on my CC2 but get no sound. I've tried both Pokey bankswitch files as well as 7800_32k but no dice. The only other thing I noticed at this point is the scroll on the title screen is really sensitive so I just have to get lucky when trying to select between options, start, credits, etc.

What joystick are you using? I'll add extra joystick debouncing to the code in the next release.

"Miner Trouble" "Miner Jack" "Major Miner" "Bit Miner" "Bit 'N' Run" Not as a title, but Major Miner sounds like a good character name. Hmm.. "Bit 'N' Run" is starting to stick like glue every time I say it; --got lot's of snap to it. Edited June 19, 2009 by espire8

Tested with :- Euro D-pad - Works OK Pro-Line - Works OK CX40 (later model, no yellow dashed ring) - Jittery I'll work on getting the CX40 to be reliable and the rest should be OK. HammR25
I figure if you get it to work with the CX40 it'll fix the problem. It's not really a big deal anyway since it doesn't affect gameplay.
+Mitch
You may want to check it with one of the Wico bat handle joysticks if you have one. The leaf switches in them can have debounce problems sometimes as well. Mitch

If others can test the next release with a variety of joysticks that would be good.
GroovyBee
Find attached the latest version :- 7800Birthday_19_06_09.1.15.a787800Birthday_19_06_09.1.15.bin Whats new in this release :- - Improved joystick up/down debouncing on main menu. - Extra start/idle animations. Still to fix :- - Collision detection. - Random apple bug. Can folks test the main menu with a variety of joysticks to make sure that the debouncing is working OK? Please list the joystick used and the problems (if any).
