Video
I've never seen one, but the port looks like a typical phono port...couldn't you just use a stereo patch cable? or is there more to it?
CPUWIZ
Title, and how would one do it? Not worth the time and money for the parts. Ask golden.ax for one. http://cgi.ebay.com/Atari-LYNX-com-link-CO...0612199001r4113
shadow460
I didn't think of that...
Video
Looking at the pic on the link, it still looks just like a Stereo patch cable (except with an out in addition, to hook even more systems together) If you only want two systems, I'd still try the patch cable, I don't have two lynxes, or two lynxable games, or I'd just try it, I've got plenty of cables. shadow460
Well, I think I'll go with buying one, though. I'm sure their design is not rocket science, but I have read on AA about someone frying their Lynx by plugging the wrong thing (power) into the ComLynx port. For five or six bucks, I can't go wrong just buying the cable.
+karri
The ComLynx cable is quite simple. It has 3 terminals. The tip has +5V (don't connect that) The middle terminal is ComLynx data (this needs to be connected to all Lynxes in the network) The shield terminal is ground (this also needs to be connected to all Lynxes in the network) So you really need 2 wires only that go to every Lynx in the net. The ComLynx is a broadcast network. Only one Lynx can send at a time, all others will listen. The connector is a 2.5mm stereo male. I believe that the +5V tip was for powering up some future wireless ComLynx. -- Karri
