etschuetz
I noticed that the 2600 has a Hacks section, but the 5200, 7800 and Lynx sections do not. Is it because hacks have not been attempted? Don't confuse my curiosity between hacks and homebrews. However, I do know that a few of the Pac Man titles for sale are considered hacks, but stand out so well, they speak otherwise. mimo
Hacks have certainly been done, and very well IMO. for example there are Space Duel, Asteroids VE and Asteroids Deluxe that are all hacks of the original Asteroids, but done so well they can be considered home brew IMO The same goes for Pac Man Collection, unbelievably a hack of Ms Pac Man!!! There are hacks of PAL games made to work on NTSC 7800s such as Sentinal, and a fixed game Mission Possible! There are also some Graphical hacks Kessel attack is a xenon hack for example, and there are a good few others. Why they don't appear in a Hacks section I don't know Edited July 1, 2009 by mimo
