nonner242
So I decided to finally make a video for one of my odd 7800 carts. SoftCell "Tainted Love" I tried to get the best video & audio I could. I think it came out good enought to hear the song. Check it out! If I knew how the whole embeded thing worked Id do it but I do know how to post a link! I'll be doing more here and there! +Random Terrain
Quick! Download it before YouTube mutes it or deletes it!
MegaManFan
Now there's an intriguing notion - half a song for $49.99. If only Apple had known this was an effective business model - releasing songs on Atari 7800 carts - they never would have needed to launch the iPod! Heck just get Heckendorn to build a portable 7800 and carry around your favorite song carts in whatever coat pockets you have free. Wear a coat in the summer? Sure, it's worth it just for some TUNES! Okay I keed. Seriously I'm jealous, no BS, that's pretty frickin' cool. I'm sure I thought the 7800 was TECHNICALLY capable of such a thing via homebrew, I just wasn't aware anyone had ever done it! As I said it the notes...Its the whole song! I just didnt want to wait 5hrs to upload the whole thing, so I cut it in half. So it is more impressive than you thought, huh! If you wanna see technical, Wait till you see the next video of my 7800 oddities!

Rybags
Is that TIA or Pokey? Looks like 8 KHz or thereabouts rate? Are you using some clever kinda compression, or is it just raw packed data?

Mathias did the demo, I put that on cart for nonner242, requires a Commando donor for the 512K bankswitching, but the POKEY is not used on this one. It is on Multi Lock On though. http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=101596 http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=103428
