Well, A reletive (who can beat any NES game in 10 minutes) helped me play Super mario bros. And I finally learned how to get unlimited lives, So now that I losed 3/4th into the game, I'm going to tell you how to do the trick:

 

Step 1:

Get to the end of level 3-1 as super mario (not small or fireball mario)

 

Step 2:

Wait for the first koopa to fall and then wait for the second one to come to the second or third step

 

Step 3:

Jump on the koopa and if mario repeatledly jumps then leave the controller alonehttp://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?app=blog&blogid=321&showentry=6385
