If the trackball is connected the value returned is 122, if the joystick is connected center ( 228 ) is returned. Although in emulation I found the programs seemed to like 114 better. Which is almost, but not quit the halfway value listed in the document provided by Cpu_wiz. Now what the hardware is doing physically at that time I dunno... Interesting read that document is. It kinda explains some of the behavior that I noticed while troubleshooting all this stuff when working with atarixlbox. I was actually thinking of revamping the analog controls.
