I got back interested in listening to my small but growing vinyl collection. My favorite record is Vanilla Fudge's "Near the Beginning", because side 2 is just one 23-minute-long rock jam. I am particularly interested in songs that take up more than one side of an album, like Emerson, Lake and Palmer's "Karn Evil 9", or the Allman Brothers Band's "Mountain Jam." I am very much looking for Todd Rundgren's "A Treatise on Cosmic Fire" because it's 35 minutes long and on a single side. I think the album's name is "Initiation". I have Rush's "2112" and "Caress of Steel" on CD, but am looking for them on vinyl as well. I have Hemispheres on vinyl before I found it on CD. I'd really like to find Miles Davis's "A Tribute to Jack Johnson" and "Bitches Brew" on vinyl. That'd be cool. Maybe I'll find them when I go to the record store tomorrow. I now have faster internet. The guy from Qwest came and installed it. I already had high-speed internet, but my mom thought I would like a higher speed. I must say it does work better than what I had, especially when it comes to videos (both uploading and downloading them.) And if you're keeping track at home, my next blog entry will be #1,000. I wonder why people don't use the AtariAge blogs as much as I do.
