the.golden.ax
This guy has actually scanned published books to PDF and is selling them. http://shop.ebay.com/jarady/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p4340 AX
Cebus Capucinis
People probably are failing to notice the little text at the bottom that says 'ONLINE OR CD FORM', which is really pathetic. It's sad how people don't actually read eBay auctions in full.
SoulBlazer
I'm not sure I would jump to that assumption. Maybe SOME people are not reading the bottom, but the guy is saying it's not the 'actual' book. The bids are too low for what the books would go for anyway. For example, at the bottom of one of his Fantastic Four auctions, he says: PLEASE NOTE THESE COMICS IS IN THE FORM OF CBR AND WILL BE SEND ONLINE. I'm not sure what CBR is, but.... Now, if you want to raise the question of 'is this legal?' I would say with 100 percent conviction NO! All of these items are either still being sold new or can be obtained in online from directly from the company. I'm surprised someone hasn't reported him yet. I'll probaly do it myself tommorow. the.golden.ax
OH I reported it before I posted the link... eBay hasn't done anything... that's the problem. If it were my listing for a Sega Saturn Game Shark they would pull it and tell me that it was a mod chip, or Plutos for 7800 and call it a bootleg, faster than you can say "eBay Fee Increase." JohnnyBlaze
It's sad. I could probably find that shit for FREE online and this dude probably did the same. Yet, he wants to profit from it. Truly a testament of eBay's selective enforcing. They'll let someone rip you for $200 or take down a homebrew you made claiming it's a bootleg, but they let jackasses like this sell downloaded stuff. It's just as bad as the suckers who paid $400 for a PICTURE of a 360.....
Shawn
About 3 years ago I came across one of these kinda guys selling ebooks of gaming guides. I showed my friend and he used the BIN on every single one of the auctions, didn't give the scammer 1 red cent, and yes he neg'd the guy on every one of them.
