Atari 820 printer new in box on Ebay

I was looking for other things and saw this:

Don't see to many new 820s! Wonder if you can even get ribbons for it, or I might have been interested.

B&C sells ribbons for it, but they're old stock so you'd probably have to reink them yourself. I used to have an 820. I kind of liked the adding-machine-style mechanism. It was just fine for printing out program listings and disk content listings. I even bought one for my then-girlfriend (now wife) to use with her A8 computer. This was back in 1991 or so. I bought it all brand new at B&C, when I was going to college near their old store.

 

The only problem with the 820s was you couldn't use them continuously for very long. They'd overheat and then slow waaaaay down in order to cool off.
