Hmmmm, think I will just pick up a cheap PC keyboard and keep my 800xl in one piece. Ah well.............

Yowch! I've seen mods and things done in a neat way, but that's not one of them. 800XL's just aren't common enough to do this to. Broken units usually go to repairing other broken units, iirc, and that's good.

 

But I'll hack up a Genesis 2 or PS1 any day, they're all over the place. Plus it's cheaper than the price being offered to do a mock-up of an 800XL anything with an LCD and keyboard. Since you have to do your own work, anyways.
