In case you don't have the manual, AtariAge has a typed copy available online. Here are the hints it provides: There are 8 levels in this game. After level 8, you can keep playing, but the level of difficulty does not increase. As you play, the movements of the WARP TRAKKERS and SKELETOR become more jerky and less predictable. Everything speeds up and BOLTS, BLASTS, and TRAKKERS are fired more often. The WARP TRAKKERS home in on the WIND RAIDER above the level of the ION CANNON. So don't hover at the top of the screen. Drop bombs as often as possible. This way you can sweep as many EVIL WARRIORS as possible off the screen, as well as keep them from throwing WARP TRAKKERS. If an EVIL WARRIOR is swept off the screen while a WARP TRAKKER is present, no new EVIL WARRIOR appears until HE-MAN destroys the WARP TRAKKER or it destroys his WIND RAIDER. Stay off the bottom of the screen. The EVIL WARRIORS can and will fire when you're directly above them. --Zero
oyamafamily
A SPECIAL NOTE FOR THIS GAME (for information ONLY): The LEFT DIFFICULTY switch is used to select starting level: B position starts the game on level 3; A position starts on level 1. Please, note that this effect works via pressing "RESET GAME" button. TIP: Choose the direction which you prefer to fly to Castle Grayskull. Left difficult A for this game people! --Zero
roadrunner
My score of 81,900 shouldn't count. I got that playing difficulty B I started on level 3 not 1 I misread the difficulty settings for this game. My new high score is 127,100 I finally played this game on the correct difficulty settings. toymailman
ROLLED IT! Whoa! That is great. It's proving to be a tough game for me, and I suggested it. Mainly because I had never played it before and the HSC is always a good way to force me to learn a new game. 30,
Zoyx
19100 on stella. Having a tough time getting this game to work right on my consoles for some reason. I have the cart. When it starts-up, I hit the fire button, and I get out of the open cut scene. After that, controller doesn't work... can't start the game. Same exact behavior when I use a Harmony cart. The game doesn't work at all on my Atari 7800.
Zoyx
971100 - Found the exploit, we should probably void this game. Edited January 18, 2010 by Zoyx
BDW
50,800 Kind of boring, I might try it later when I have more time.

Zoyx
Just throw this week out. No one played it, and it has an exploit.
toymailman
For those that want to play with the exploit before this week ends... Interesting, I watched the video several times but could not duplicate this behavior. How is it done?
Zoyx
@toymailman - Might be emulator specific... fire up Stella. If it is Stella specific, may want to report it to the devs.
+stephena
@toymailman - Might be emulator specific... fire up Stella. If it is Stella specific, may want to report it to the devs. It seems you're using an older version of Stella. If I had to guess based on the video, it's older than 2.7. Stella is now at 3.0, and one of the major updates in this release was much better TIA emulation. The ROM you mentioned had certain problems with older versions of Stella. I know the new code fixes several graphical glitches in this game; perhaps it fixes your issue as well.
Zoyx
That did it. I was using 2.51 in the video. I updated to 3.0, and the bug went away.
Ze_ro
Ze_ro, you missed the high score for Zoyx in post #10 He admitted he used an exploit for that score... though from what I can tell, all the other scores have been legitimate. --Zero
