RSS Bot
After a long hiatus of not programming anything for the Virtual Boy, I got back in the mood to again. When I was a kid, I had this idea of a guy trapped in a castle with dozens of rooms, and the idea was to get out of the castle by going through room after room. I even drew up some rooms once, which got lost to the sands of time. Think "Chip's Challenge", but in 2D so you can jump. Must have been all that Chip's Challenge playing in the Windows Entertainment Pack way back when. So now I'm back bothering the people on Planet Virtual Boy with questions on the C programming language. I'd like to fit at least 100 different rooms, each with one enemy. Right now I've pretty much got the walls working (you bump into them as opposed to going through them.) While I might have been able to do this sort of thing on the Atari 2600, I just felt like doing this for the Virtual Boy. That, and it needs more homebrew games. I think I'm the only person in the world... http://www.atariage.com/forums/blog/168/entry-6931-castle-of-doom-wip/
