Pacfan97
I just saw this and it was awesome!!!!! All Atari 5200 games are built in the console! But does it include the unreleased prototypes like Asteroids or Tempest? Will it ever be a real Console soon? And I want it to have a cartridge slot for homebrews. Will it ever be a real console? We REALLY WANT IT!!!!!! Here it is: Modified jagpad: Bitchin' game selection:
BDW
Whoa! Calm down there! This console is a custom job made out of some guy's garage. There is practically no chance at all that something like this would be mass-produced.
akator
Interesting project, but I think I'm quite happy with my 5200 just the way it is.
Greg2600
That paintjob is the ugliest thing I've ever seen.
atari181
Looks like lots of the stuff on his site hasn't been updated for awile. "What's New" is from 2006. Would be cool though

thursday83
That thing looks like something that someone should take a hammer to. Puke.
ApolloBoy
wasn't the big A going to release a smaller version of the 5200, can't remember what it was called Yes, Atari was going to release a smaller 5200 which was known as the 5100. If anyone could make something like this nowadays, I'd be all over it.
jaybird3rd
Ugh. I admire what he created (designing a new mainboard for the 5200 and a proprietary menu system, both of which are substantial projects in themselves), but that case and paint job make me shudder. The 7800 would have been a much more suitable candidate for a conversion of this kind, since he could have kept most of the case hardware--including the cartridge slot--without any modification. Atari Joe
The 5200 i use says "Atari Video System X" on it i think its an early one. pretty neat! it has super breakout with it and a special 5200 paddle for it. maybe i can get a picture. But it doesnt looks like that blue one up top that thing looks like a big blue rectangle of GARBAGE!
