RSS Bot Posted April 12, 2010 Share Posted April 12, 2010 If you've been reading this blog, you'd probably notice my love of crossword puzzles, both making and solving them. The poorest-quality of puzzles I've ever seen published professionally is every week in my local newspaper's TV listings. It looks as though they only have 7 designs and just keep reusing the same designs only the words are different. There's a close-up of a famous person's face in the center, and some squares have asterisks, and once you've completed the puzzle, you unscramble the asterisked letters to come up with the name of said person. I don't watch much TV, especially network prime-time. It's limited to an occasional episode or two of "Cops" on Saturday nights and that's it. And most of the longer answers are names of characters or actors or actresses on such shows as Lost or Private Practice, which puts me at a disadvantage, so I don't usually do them.
