the.golden.ax
The seller was an EBAY EMPLOYEE. THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER. This makes me so sad. I'd love a shot at a good 25% of that for my own collection. AX

Please forgive my misunderstanding. For some weird reason, I've got two track and fields for the atari 8-bit computer... has the same controller... I've got both boxes... and oddly enough, one is sealed and in perfect condition... but I'm guessing that they're not worth anything near like the console versions? EDIT: Scratch that, must be for the ST... as I remember a floppy disk being involved. Edited April 19, 2010 by rarecandy

atari_envy
Track n Field Game, Instruction, Controller atari 2600= $30 Nice box Track N Field atari 2600 = $250 Agreed, those boxes are hard to come by. I can only recall a couple in the past 5 or so years on eBay. I picked up one from ToyMailMan for $85, but that has its top ripped off, yet I still feel like it was a good deal. Atari2600.com has CIB Track and Field selling most recently for $302.
seanhq
I love my Track and Field controllers (I have a set of two). So much nicer on my fingers verses using the normal controllers, especially when using them for playing Decathon

homerwannabee
What defines speed collecting? Is it a negative thing? AX Speed Collector is a term CPUWIZ created. It speaks of the person who has to have the item now, and has no patience, and then 2 years later sells off his whole collection, and leaves the hobby. Hmmmm That could be, or it is somone that has no patience, and doesn't sell it and slows down after a while. Or he collects slowly for a while, and then burst into buying frenzy, Like the new one. To me the meaning is, buying as fast as you can and money is no object, Paying 3, 4 times or more, what something is worth. IMO. AX as far as I am concerned, it is not a bad thing, just a waste of money to me. I actually heard Marco use the term, before The Wiz. Nice challenge for someone bored though, find the earliest post with the word speedcollector or speed collector. LOL I actually think Marco used a ™ on it, or ® on it too. As for Motorodeo, a complete PAL copy is worth much more than an NTSC copy, so the buyer is doing better there too.
