After yesterday's attempt, the PlayField registers showed so much enthusiasm that I rented a better field, with a scoreboard (you can also hear some occasional spectators when a goal is scored).

 

I also tried to teach the players some rules about 'field position', so that they don't end up chasing the ball all together.
