Dropcheck
Have a project in mind and am looking for a 28 pin dip dual header source. I've tried Mouser, Jameco and Digikey. No luck. Any other retail source someone can point me too?
jaybird3rd
Do you mean one of these?
Dropcheck
Do you mean one of these? Duh.... I guess I need to take searching lessons. Thanks!
jaybird3rd
My pleasure. I bought the 24-pin version not that long ago, so I had the part number right in front of me. They're good connectors, but very expensive.
GroovyBee
Try and find these :- http://uk.farnell.com/multicomp/mc34735/header-1-row-vert-14way/dp/1593421 They are a fraction of the cost of that socket.

Will those pins fit into a standard IC socket? I had the same idea, but the ones I tried were too big.
GroovyBee
Ah! These are for PCB to PCB interconnect at .1" pitch. To fit into another socket you need something else. I have some here but its so long since I bought them I can't remember where I got them from.
