Tron38
I've looked everywhere for 2600 Paddle to USB and the Stelladaptor seems to be the way to go there. But I was wondering if it would be possible to make a converter to use the paddles connected to a PS/2 mouse port? I did the joystick to USB the other day so I'm half way there to making an emulator PC using original controls. Thanks!
Video
The problem with running a paddle to a PS2 is that the Atari Paddle is analog (it measures every .x seconds to see how high the voltage goes, and it's variable according to how far the controller is turned. Mice on the other hand work more like the Driving Controller, they have a ball spinning a wheel that counts the number of times the wheel turns digitally. Or if you got optical, they just take a picture of the ball, or the surface they are on (depending on mouse or track ball) and tell the computer which direction the image it sees is moving, and how fast. I don't know how the PS2 port works exactly, but what is going through it is intended to be digital, so I don't know if it will work with the paddle or not.
