STeSearcher
I never owned a 7800 and I think I need yet another Atari system to clutter up the area around my TV. I see on Ebay "Pro System" consoles and some that are not described that way. Is there a difference?
Rex Dart
Nah, a 7800 is a 7800. It's like Super Nintendo vs SNES vs Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
TrekMD
Atari 7800, Atari 7800 ProSystem...all the same. Now just get it and then attach the Expansion Module on it and then you have an even better system! 7800 Expansion Module
Classic Pac
The name 'Pro System' was just a gimmick.
horseboy
If you are worried about the clutter get a 7800 and ditch the 2600. You can still play pretty much all the 2600 games and you have the added benefit of playing some sweet 7800 games.
STeSearcher
Ok, thanks guys. I was thinking that it was just a label. I don't currently have a working 2600 so it would serve both duties. I have a Flashback II but no 2600. So off to Epay I go....

And I might have one to sell cheap in a few days, once my shiny new one arrives.
Rex Dart
Well, don't bid on any that I'm watching, or I'll be forced to... throw more money at them
STeSearcher
I'll keep my eye on the Marketplace for now. I don't really see any listed (except for a nice one with games that is trade only) so maybe one will pop up (Underball). doctorclu
7800 with a Cuttle Cart is just awesome. Don't get me wrong, I liked the 2600, but since the 7800 plays its own games and the 2600 games I haven't unboxed the 2600 in years.
+FujiSkunk
All three 8-bit Atari consoles had spelled out names. Some are just better known than others. Atari 2600 = Atari Video Computer System Atari 5200 = Atari SuperSystem Atari 7800 = Atari ProSystem
