Or rather...for my ears. Whenever I get bored, I decide to either compose a new song or just record myself "jamming" solo on my keyboard. Most of the stuff I record is improv stuff and most tracks last about a half-hour. Then I go back and listen to them from time to time. Why do this? Because nobody else does. I only have four songs in my collection that last a half-hour or longer: Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin, Mountain Jam by the Allman Bros. Band, Karn Evil 9 (live) by ELP, and 6 Degrees of Inner Turbulence by Dream Theater. I once played my keyboard constantly for 90 minutes, but in order for that to be on CD, I'd have to split it up into two parts. I read a long time ago that they were going to have single CDs that can hold up to 13 hours of music. That would be really cool because I could put a whole bunch of music onto one CD. But that never did happen, though. I also figure out how to play a few songs by ear and then do really long versions of them with...
