SpiceWare's Blog - Focus on Freezepop

I've linked to a Freezepop song in a prior blog entry. They're, a synthpop band from Boston that I discovered via the Harmonix PS2 game Frequency (2001).

In Frequency you travel down an 8 sided tube where each side represents one of the tracks in the song - guitar, vocals, drums, synth, etc. Using 3 buttons on your controller, hit the "notes" as they cross the line at the bottom. If you complete a section, that track will "unlock" and play automatically. Rotate the tube to the next track you wish to unlock and hit some more notes. Eventually all tracks will be playing and you'll get to "scratch" along with the music. The game also supports up to 4 players in a split-screen mode. Freezepop's song Science Genius Girl is featured in Frequency.

Harmonix then created a sequel, Amplitude (2003), which has Freezepop's song Super-sprøde in it.
