mimo
I finally located an original Scart lead for my French RGB 7800, colours were over driven so I gave the colour trim pot a tweek (located at R42 on a Rev C PAL board), the top metal piece broke off and now I have no Colour at all. Are replacement trim pots available off the shelf? anyone know the value? can I do anything else to rescue this 7800?
GroovyBee
Are replacement trim pots available off the shelf? anyone know the value? can I do anything else to rescue this 7800? Its R57 @ 500k on my PAL schematic. They should be cheaply available from Farnell, RS, CPC or even Maplin. Although the last time I checked Maplin they were pretty dire on the component front. mimo
replaced the trim pot but still no colour. There was colour for 3 or 4 minutes but when I swapped the cart colour went. Cant get it back now. Any more ideas?
GroovyBee
Follow a trace from each leg on the pot to another part on the circuit. Then check it for continuity from the top side. You might have broken a track.
