Its not the ram bios or the pokey, I don't think. I'll keep looking. Look at this pic here: I think the chip is the largest chip on the lower right side of the board. http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r255/delfmeek/DSCN0573.jpg
mylok
I hope someone can help with this no color problem. I have a 4 port that is s-video and power modified and can not get it to display any color. It had the color problem before the mods I used this as my first 5200 mod unit. I have replaced every chip on the board from another working 5200 4 port but still no color. After swapping all of the chips one at a time and testing after each swap the board that had color working still has color output but the board with the problem still does not display color. I also had a problem with the controllers on this unit and replaced 5 of the chips close to the joystick ports and that fixed the problem with the joystick. The buttons were off press 5 and it registers and some buttons didn't work and the joystick only worked up and down. I bought replacement chips for the joystick problem on ebay 5 chips for $3.00 with free shipping (seemed like a good deal to me). I can post a picture of the chips that need to be replaced for the joystick problem if anyone needs that info. So if the chips are not bad any idea what would cause no color output? I tested the color adjustment pot as well and it works fine. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance.
