RSS Bot
Hi there! I bet you won't find a Defender clone with more enemies on the screen at once: http://home.arcor.de/cybergoth/xype/datastorm.gif The Defender experts amongst you will now rightfully point out that it's actually closer to Dropzone than Defender, but that wasn't too far away from Defender to begin with. Anyway, Datastorm absolutely does deliver what one would expect from a 16-Bit upgrade of the classic formula: Fast & smooth scrolling, crushing sampled SFX, over 30 different, nicely animated enemies, up to screen-sized bosses, some extra weapons, persistent hiscores and an intro sequence. It can be summed up as Defender/Dropzone on steroids. So if you're looking for some fast-paced classic shoot'em up action, it's as good as it gets on the Amiga, like an Arcade machine in your living room. But it's really just that... I had a lot of fun with it today and I think it's one of those games that's always good for blasting a few...</img> http://www.atariage.com/forums/blog/54/entry-7507-playing-datastorm-amiga/
