tz101
They made games for VCS, INTV, and CV, but none for 5200. Can anyone shed some light on this? Did they have a grudge against Atari, sort of how EA dissed the Dreamcast console many years later?
8th lutz
Imagic had games planned for the Atari 5200. There is 5 rumor milled imagic games for the Atari 5200. They are Fatham,Laser Gates, Moonsweeper, Quickstep & Wing War. Imagic had an ad in September 83 issue of Electronic games for Moonsweeper and the ad mentioned about 5200 version of Moonsweeper. This information is from Digital Press.
yuppicide
What's up with companies just making the same old games for a new system?

Nukey Shay
What's up with companies just making the same old games for a new system? Controlled copyright = more profit. There are other factors, but the above is the most-relevant reason. If the title is selling well, why not?
high voltage
What's up with companies just making the same old games for a new system? You haven't noticed, Nintendo's been doing this for over 25 years. Edited January 9, 2011 by high voltage
jetset
There were some titles done on the Atari computer line. Demon Attack and Atlantis among others. Like the Activision titles on the 2600, they were almost identical to the 2600 counterparts and essentially a waste of "effort". I guess if you didn't own a 2600 prior to owning a 5200 it would have been worthwhile. Then again I'd wager 99% of 5200 owners were previous 2600 owners... SpaceDice2010
I found this odd as well. I mean Imagic did games for the O2. Laser Gates on the A8 is amazing.
