Deteacher
So, my water heater sprung a leak and my family and I are without hot water until I can raise up enough money to get a new one installed. This was a sign that it was time to put my main collection up on Ebay. The highlights of this collection include: Atari Heavy Sixer with all cables and connections 230 games, ranging from R1-R7 Controllers-a-plenty A large stack of manuals, catalogs, registration cards and even an Atlantis Contest Entry Form. Check it out and feel free to bid it up. Cold showers really suck. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 330533052429 Special AA Member Bonus #1: If an Atariage Member wins this auction, I will throw in 2 special items at no extra charge. Tell me your Atariage username if you win: Kabobber reproduction cartridge. I won this in a contest over at Digital Press. Signed copy of Activision Decathlon. Signed by game designer David Crane. It's a PAL cart and it's pretty sun faded. I won this in the same contest over at Digital Press. Special AA Member Bonus #2: Winning AA Member will also receive an extra set of "jitter-free" paddles AND he/she may choose an extra controller from the picture below: I have not cleaned or tested them, but rest assured they will be cleaned and tested before I ship. If I find it to be non-functional, I will let you choose another one from the pic. Special AA Member Bonus #3: Winning AA Member will have the choice of keeping the Atari Heavy Sixer listed in the auction, or they may swap it out with the Sears Heavy Sixer in the picture below. Some prefer one console over the other, so I will offer them the choice. This console has been cleaned, inside and out and tested. It is 100% functional. Update: Winning AA Member will receive BOTH consoles. Special AA Member Bonus #4: If an AA Member wins this auction, I will also throw in my binder that I used when I went out hunting for carts. It's a full color print out of the AA Rarity Guide (NTSC Titles only.) I checked off titles I owned in pencil so I could keep track while I was out on the hunt. NOTE: This is an older list (many years older) but other than some homebrews that have come out, it's pretty much the complete list. Also, I did sell off a few titles and never removed the checkmarks, so you might see a few titles checked off as owned, but are not actually in the collection now. See pics below: Thanks for looking! Frostbite Bailey
Sorry to see you sell off your collection, but you do what you gotta do! Best of luck with your sale; hope you make enough to have a hot shower. Cheers, FB
Deteacher
Thanks Frostbite (which is what I think I got after yesterday's shower.) HEY-O! As the day goes on, I will be adding more incentives, just for AA Members (because you all rock...and stuff!) I've got some other goodies that I'll throw in as I dig more stuff out, so keep checking back. Edited February 20, 2011 by Deteacher
Gorfy
Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Will you continue to play atari on emulator? Or keep a console and play via the harmony cartridge? I'm in a tough bind financially myself and think about these options frequently. Hope things turn out well for you

That means a lot! Yes, I have a 7800 with the Longhorn Engineer video mod installed and a Harmony Cart. Everything else is going. Once I get this main collection out of here, I will be posting stuff here in the Marketplace...mostly loose systems and other odds and ends I have in storage. homerwannabee
A side note. Since I sold my Standee to Wonder, you will be seeing no more of these Entree forms on Ebay. I only sold or gave away like 12 or 13 of them.

Deteacher
Just bid on this lot. sorry to hear you have to sell under these circumstances. Thanks for bidding! Yeah, I hate to see it go. I love my collection, but I love hot showers more (and so does my family.) Keep checking here for more bonuses over the next day or 2. I'll keep throwing them up as I keep digging them out. Who knows though, maybe your mortgage payment is insane.
Deteacher
Yes, I am a teacher from Delaware. But we've got a lot of added expenses. For example: My step-daughter is disabled and currently unable to work, so we're helping her out until she's able to return to work. We have legal guardianship of her son (my step grandson...my wife's grandson, so there's that added expense, plus daycare, which was an expense we didn't have before. Times are tough and you gotta do what you gotta do for your family. Nothing is more valuable or meaningful than family. Another bonus coming up soon! Stay tuned! Someones income level really has nothing to do with wether or not they have hit hard times. Really don't understand why you would even post this Homer.

His handle name is Deteacher (So him being a teacher is not a big secret), and he is from Delaware (Openly stated). I am sure that I am not the only one that was thinking this. Given his handle name I did not think it was a big deal. Again, just going for clarification.

Because he is asking us to buy his wares because he needs money. He put himself out there that he was broke. So he already disclosed what he does on every post. He already discloses where he lives in every single post. This info is NOT secret. So how is it rude? I could of said something like. You make a decent amount of money being a Delaware teacher. But you know what? This then gets into semantics about what a "Decent Income" is. If I just say you make at least $50,000 a year semantics are eliminated. Now you are the one that continues to exasperate the situation. If you chose I will continue to respond in order to clarify. The choice is yours. Edit: You can be 100 percent right, and still be a total D-Bag while being 100 percent right. I was a D-Bag in this thread whether right or wrong. This will be my last post in this thread. I hope DeTeacher gets all that he needs, and more. He is a long time member, and one that can be trusted. Sorry for the derailment. Double Edit: I don't get the controversy now. I owned up to being a D-Bag, and I said I was sorry for it, and I wish Deteacher luck on his auction. What else am I supposed to do?

I am not retarded, but obviously you played way to many games of Galaxian. He never asked anyone to buy his collection because he needs money he was only telling you why he is selling it. So many people just let you say whatever you want, alot of times you are just rude and pigheaded. Anyone who doesn't agree with you or understand your jaded view you just post." I will no longer post in this thread" Good luck on the auction.

Deteacher
Just added another Special Bonus to the first post. As for the sidebar, I'm not insulted or offended by Homer's comments and I thank those that came to my defense. Truth of the matter is, all I care about is doing what I need to do. For those that have been looking and bidding, I thank you very much! Keep checking as I might have a few more things to offer.

Schizophretard
Deteacher, I wish I saw this thread and the bonus items before I won. I'm sorry about the water heater. I hope that was enough to get you a good one and something extra. I was telling my wife the other day that the seller must really need the money because a collector wouldn't just one day decide not to collect anymore. Now I feel bad that I was right. It sucks to have to trade your luxuries for necessities. I wish you well. atari181, So you were the one who declared bid war on me! It's on like Donkey Kong! Just kidding. It went to a good cause. You were very very close to my max bid.
