ATARI7800fan
I have recently bought my first every atari 8-bit and was wondering if the RF cable would work on my Atari 7800. The cable has the RF/co-axial plug so I do not need a box with it. I was wondering because I noticed how much clearer the pictures seems to be compared to the video on the 7800 on my HDTV. The cable looks like a normal RF cable just has a box type thing on it that says which end plugs into the computer. So would it work, Thanks for your time. Rex Dart
Probably, depends on the box type thing. Does it have a switch to flip, an internal auto switch, or neither?
svenski
Should work fine, the "box" just contains some circuitry to help cut down interference .

Tried it out and it works perfectly, did not even get any interference on my HDTV.
Dauber
BTW, disconnect the cable from your 7800 but leave it in your HDTV, and....you got yourself an antenna. Found that out accidentally....
