RSS Bot Posted February 27, 2011 Share Posted February 27, 2011 Greetings everyone who decides this blog is worth reading I decided quite a while ago that I wanted to learn how to program the 2600, so I found this site, jumped in and quickly got overwhelmed as most do. Andrew Davies tutorials came in very handy for jumping into writing my first Kernal, of which I shared as a template in a post somewhere around here. It has some mistakes, but I learned how things went together for the most part. Thus I started on my first project, and had to place it on hiatus for personal reasons. Now over a year later I return to my project, a Tower climbing adventure which is inspired by the game "Temple of Apshai". I've decided the name shall be "Tower of Tulgey", Tulgey taken from Lewis Carroll's Jabberwocky poems made up words. Tulgey refers to something dark, dense as a forest. Well...my game takes place in a tower not a forest, but I like the reference to dense darkness so I am keeping it.
