Sonic R
I was going through my 7800 games and putting them in numerical order. so I am going over the labels of all the games to get the number and when I arrive at Pole Position II, I happen to notice that this game and only this game is from Atari Inc while every other is from Atari Corp… of note the number for Pole Position II is 7808 (Centipede is 7801) here is a pic of the game:
+Mitch
You have a copy of the 1984 revision so it predates the sale of Atari. Mitch

It's weird that the label is in b/w if it was from Atari Inc. [i thought that was restricted to cheapo Tramiel Atari Corp.]. Were the 1984 Bay Area test market cartridges also equipped with b/w labels? The boxes certainly weren't...
+Mitch
The pack-in Pole Position II carts have the black and white label. This includes the ones for the original 1984 test run. I believe it was meant to invoke racing checkered flag. All of the other planned 1984 release had color labels. For the black and white labeled Pole Position II I have seen '84, '86 and '87 copyrights. Mitch
