CGQuarterly
I received a free PC Engine Duo-RX controller as part of a purchase this week, but it acts as though the left direction is always being pushed. I took the pad apart and took the PCB out so that nothing was touching the contacts, but it is still doing it. I'm going to use a magnifying glass and a multimeter to check for shorts when I get home, but is it possible that the encoder chip (or whatever it's called) is hosed? I hope it isn't because I would really like to be able to use this controller. Chris
CGQuarterly
Solved the problem. The contacts under the 2-6 button switch were dirty, and the controller acts as I described when you play 2-button games in 6-button mode. So I'm just posting this in case anyone else has the same problem and finds this thread after searching the forums. Chris
