As some of you may know, I'm a gamer and not a collector, so I don't take part in the frantic world of last minute EBay auction buying and sniping like some of you.

 

Recently, however, I agreeded to try to win this auction for a fellow AA member who is overseas:

After getting the max ammount the person was willing to spend, I kept a eye on the auction and then sniped it with 3 seconds left to go, winning it just below the bid price I had entered. I can tell you, it was a rush.

 

Now I understand why so many of you love the thrill of the chase so much!

 

Frankly, I'm still surprised I won it. I guess this system is one of the REALLY obscure systems to collect for.

 

Anyway, I have since re-sent the item overseas for the person who won it, so it's safe to post it here. If the person who is getting this wants to revel themselves, that's fine. I was just curious if anyone else here had seen this auction and was watching/bidding on it and how they think 'we' did on the price.
