+frankodragon
I'm a noob at identifying electronic components so I'll try to explain what I really need: The power component socket on a Telegames Personal Arcade broke off one time so I tried soldering it back on. But after so much heat, it melted and a tiny piece of metal fell out of the socket so it's no good anymore. The second pic is the broken component -sorry about the quality. Is there an online electronics store that have replacement parts? I don't want to pay another $95 for a new one.
dwane413
I'm pretty sure it is called a "power jack".
zylon
I've got one of those barrel connector sockets. Not sure of the size yet, but it does match you board pattern.
Trinity
Just wire the power cord directly the the motherboard.
+frankodragon
Just wire the power cord directly the the motherboard. I don't know if that's possible. The PC board has 3 solder pads, which the jack was soldered to, the AC adapter-only 2 wires. I can't remember if the power supply was 9 or 12V. ApolloBoy
Just wire the power cord directly the the motherboard. A power brick dangling from a light cheaply-made console isn't really a good idea.
