GroovyBee
If you have Commando or Ballblazer carts and you hear the music then it should be fine for XM games.

jaybird3rd
but i don`t have these carts and want to know ik pokey games will work They'll sound the same as they always did. I've installed several of Longhorn's 7800 mod kits, and they all worked out great for me. I'm actually a little unhappy about how muffled the POKEY sounds in the 7800 games that use it, so I made some additional modifications to my 7800 to bring it up to a normal volume. That isn't related to Longhorn's mod, though; POKEY audio is too muffled for me even in stock consoles. planning on getting a 7800 sd cart soon There's a 7800 SD cart??? Good thing you don't have a PAL 7800 then, the volume on the Pokey on those is totally messed up. The Atari engineer who designed the PAL version had the wrong value on one of the resistors. Several of the 7800 A/V mods floating around make the same mistake incidentally. Mitch

I think the 8BitDomain mod (the first one I tried) was one of the mods with a bad resistor. I seem to remember having to do some work on that one to make POKEY audio sound right, but of course I don't use it anymore. The 5200 mod was the only one they made that I was ever really satisfied with.

I plan on modding my 7800 soon and I'd like to know how to fix the external audio.
