+frankodragon
I'm thinking of buying another unit after buying some replacement parts for a Colecovision. It was working a few weeks ago. But then the problems started. First I had to replace the cartridge port slot after one of the connector pins was bent. Then the crystal labeled SRMP 18 7.15909 broke off- got a new one. Is a crystal like a cap- has to be in one way or it won't work? So now I don't know if I fried the chips on the board. I get a black screen with most carts, however I tried Jungle Hunt. It shows the title screen but then when I start the game, "Congratulations" text appears with some garbage. I don't know if I should just give up and buy another working unit and use this one as spare parts.
+frankodragon
Update- I cracked open the power supply and flowed fresh solder through-still black screen. After spending time and money on this I'll just use it for spare parts.
SlowCoder
Have you considered sending it to Yurkie to look at? He knows what he's doing.
tz101
Yurkie's the man on CV hardware issues. Look him up in the CV forum.

Update- A bit of Caution: If you attempt to fix it yourself like I have, and then ask for someone to fix it for you, he/she may refuse since you've already may done more harm than good. bennybingo
If Yurkie can't fixe it or doesn't want to, Golden Ax just listed a refurbed CV deck a little while ago in his F/S thread: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/184639-thegoldenax-hardware-sales/
Geoff Oltmans
My money would be on bad RAM. Hard to tell if it's system or video RAM from the testing you've done. Do you have pictures of what the display looks like in Jungle Hunt?
